All Grown-Up

My baby sister Hailey starts High School next week. I was thinking about all the things that I would have changed about my High School experience. There was a lot. Really. But mostly this is what I told her.

1- Be nice to everyone. Just because you are friends with certain people in one group doesn't mean you can't be friends with people from another. Also, just be nice to everyone in general. Being kind to people makes you way cooler than being rude and thinking you are better than them. No matter how "beautiful" & "hot" you are, an ugly personality will ruin all of that. So ELE- EVERYBODY LOVE EVERYBODY.

2- Don't kiss all the boys. Go out with all the boys, just don't kiss all of them. You don't have to kiss a boy if they pay attention to you or take you on a date or text you or all the other things boys do to try to make you kiss them. If you don't like them, don't kiss them. Just don't do it.

3- Get a 4.0. Get all of the good grades. I don't understand why, but I guess it's cool to not be smart and get good grades or even try nowadays. WHAT IS THAT. I don't know. But get good grades. Get a slammin ACT score and get a million scholarships for college.

4- Appreciate your parents. THEY LOVE YOU AND KNOW WHAT IS BEST FOR YOU STUPID. You don't know everything. You will never know everything. So stop thinking that you do. Now go tell Mom you love her.

5- Go to school activities! Get involved in anything you can. Go to football games, paint your face, look like an idiot. It doesn't matter what people think of you.
(look at little gangster me trying to throw up a peace sign.)

So go have fun little  sister! Don't let all the boys kiss your face.

  4. Agree-ness!!!! I assume the same is true in boy-to-girl relations?? But, also generally girls aren't trying to get boys to kiss them (oh, wait...)

    Anyways, AWESOME post!!!
